5-T Secretary and Chief Secretary visit Kendrapara to review ‘Bhitarkanika Mahotsav’ preparedness

Kendrapada, Feb 10: Ahead of the Bhitarkanika Mahotsav, 5T Secretary V Karthikeyan Pandian and Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy paid a surprise visit to Bhitarkanika today. State Tourism Director Sachin Jadhav and Works Secretary Dr Krishan Kumar accompanied them. After landing at the Khamar Sahi Helipad, they moved towards Dangamal and had a discussion about the geography of Bhitarkanika. They oversaw the development of connecting roads to the location and made a tour through the waterways to review the arrangements made for tourists. Pandian also discussed the status of tourist facilities with Rajnagar DFO, Bikash Ranjan Dash. The team advised Forest Officials not to operate high-speed motorboats in the breeding grounds of crocodiles.
