3 major political parties of Odisha prepare for 2024

Bhubaneswar, Sept 12: The three major political parties of Odisha have stepped up their preparation for the 2024 elections with the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leading the race.

The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday launched an exercise at the party headquarters Sankha Bhawan to train 200 active members from each Assembly constituency.

As per the schedule of the training, as many as 800 party workers from four Assembly constituencies will be trained every day. The program will continue till October 19.

At least four leaders from each gram panchayat in the state will be imparted training. The party targets to train around 30,000 active workers from 147 Assembly constituencies during the 37-day long training program.

The workers will be trained on how to face the electorate in the upcoming elections and counter Opposition propaganda. Besides, they will be entrusted to reach out to grassroots-level workers with pro-people schemes of the BJD government.

  On the other hand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned to set up one control room for two Lok Sabha constituencies and a war room for 10 Lok Sabha mandalis to know various issues and aware people about various schemes of the Centre through direct interaction with grassroots level workers.

The Odisha Pradesh Congress would start a campaign ‘Ghare Ghare Congress’ in the State. Odisha in-charge A Chella Kumar would launch the campaign.

The campaign would be held from September 25 to October 31 in all the blocks and gram panchayats in the State with an aim to spread the Congress message to every household.
