23 persons coming in contact with COVID-19 affected patient in hospital isolation, Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar, March 21: As many as 70 samples from the state have been sent for testing of coronavirus so far; out of which 69 results have been received while results of one sample is still awaited, informed Subroto Bagchi, spokesperson of Odisha government on COVID-19. He also said that two of the samples sent so far have been tested positive for the deadly virus and health condition of both identified patients is stable. “As many as 3236 persons have been registered through 104 Helpline while 23 persons who had contact with COVID-19 affected patient are in hospital isolation,” said Bagchi. The second patient tested positive for coronavirus in Odisha came in contact with as many as 56 persons, out of which the State government has managed to trace 53 persons. Bagchi also said that as many as nine monitoring teams have been pressed into service trace three others who came in contact with the patient.
