Bhubaneswar, Oct 11: In a remarkable demonstration of unity and benevolence, the Branding Committee of the International Management Institute (IMI), Bhubaneswar, joined hands with Capital Hospital to orchestrate an impactful blood donation drive on Tuesday.
The event brought together a diverse spectrum of participants, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose. The combined and sincere efforts by the IMI team resulted in collection of 102 units of blood, the organisers informed.
Worth mentioning that IMI Bhubaneswar, an institution acclaimed for its commitment to academic excellence and social responsibility, witnessed enthusiastic participation from its students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. Their active involvement set the stage for a heartening event marked by unwavering determination to make a tangible contribution to society.
This initiative extended its reach far beyond the borders of IMI Bhubaneswar, garnering participation from students of Birla Global University (BGU), IIIT Bhubaneswar and students from other educational institutions as well, the organisers informed.
The blood donation camp even had equal support and participation from employees of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), and the National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).
The diversity of participation underscored the event's success in transcending institutional boundaries and uniting individuals from various backgrounds for a common humanitarian cause, the organisers added.
Among others, IMI Director Professor Ramesh Behl, teaching and non-teaching faculty members of IMI participated in the initiative. Also students and staff of Birla Global University, KIIT and SP Jain participated in the blood donation initiative, the organisers added.
