Bhubaneswar: Another incident of deteriorating law and order has come to the fore where a youth was brutally killed and three others sustained critical injuries reportedly in the attack of a liquor trader and his men at Sohela in Bargarh district last night.
The deceased was identified as Sanjeev Pradhan of the neighbouring State of Chhattisgarh. All the three injured, who are residents of nearby Badipali village, have been admitted to a hospital.
According to reports, Sanjeeb and his aides had gone to witness Ravan Podi utsav at Sohela. They allegedly asked the liquor trader to give them liquor free of cost. As the latter didn’t provide liquor, an heated argument ensured between them. Consequently, the trader and his men attack Sanjeev and his aides with a bhujali.
All the three were first rushed to Sohela hospital where Sanjeev was declared dead. The three injured have now been shifted to the Bargarh District Headquarters Hospital.
On being informed, police have reached the spot and started investigation.
