'World Consumer Rights Day' National Level Conference to be held in Odisha postponed for coronavirus

Bhubaneswar, March 12: In the wake of the pandemic coronavirus and its potential adverse effects of the health of the participants, the State Government today postponed the “World Consumer Rights Day” National Level Conference which was scheduled to be held on March 15 at State Convention Centre. Minister for Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, Ranendra Pratap Swain informed the development on his twitter handle. Though not a single case related to coronavirus has been reported in the state so far, the State Government has started a massive awareness campaign. Earlier biometric attendance system was also relaxed for employees of State Assembly as a precautionary measure.
