Bhubaneswar: A day after he was expelled from the Congress for alleged anti-party activities, former Union Minister Srikant Jena today said that there was a secret nexus between Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik and AICC chief Rahul Gandhi.
He said he will expose everything during the Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Odisha on January 25 to address a public rally.
“There is a secret nexus between Naveen Patnaik and Rahul Gandhi. I will expose everything during Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Odisha on January 25. As a result, he can’t show his face in the country,” said Jena in a press conference today.
He also came down heavily on the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik saying the latter is a habitual bribe giver and Orissa HC had rapped him for that dot which he had to resign from the Council of Minister.
Ever since he was removed as chairman of OPCC Manifesto Committee in December last year, the former Union Minister has been sharply critical of Patnaik. Soon after his removal, he also resigned from all party posts.
Late on Saturday night, the grand old party expelled Jena and another Dalit leader from Koraput Krishna Chandra Sagaria on charges of anti-party activities.
Notably, party working president Naba Kishore Das and tribal MLA Jogesh Singh resigned from the party last week.
