Weather Update: Titilagarh hottest place in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 23: As sweltering heat swept across Odisha, the mercury soared up to 45.5 degree Celsius at Titilagarh, making it the hottest place in the state on Saturday.

With the entire state sizzling under intense heat, the maximum temperature soared above 40 degree Celsius in at least 13 places, according to the Meteorological Centre.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Titilagarh recorded the highest temperature followed by Bhawanipatna at 44.2 degree Celsius, Talcher at 43.8 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature in state capital Bhubaneswar was 35.4 degree Celsius, while the mercury touched 35.4 degree Celsius in Cuttack city.
