Bhubaneswar, Mar 19: Two youths from Odisha are stranded in coronavirus-hit Lima city of Peru in South America and have apppeled to the government to evacuate them. Sailendra Narayan Das and Sanjiv Kumar Mohapatra have made an appeal to both Odisha government and the Indian government through a video, who were in the capital city of Peru to attend the 4th edition of an exclusive brand ‘India Show’. The Embassy of India at Lima and Lima Chambers of Commerce had organised the ‘India Show’, which was to be held from March 11 to March 15. However, the Peru government declare coronavirus outbreak as ‘National Disaster’ and imposed restrictions on gathering on March 12, following which the show concluded on March 14. wp:video /wp:video “We had booked ticket for March 20. Later, we changed it to March 17. However, the Peru government suspended flying of all flights on March 16 and we are unable to return,” the duo clarified in the video. wp:video /wp:video Expressing their plight, both have appealed the state government to appeal the Ministry External Affairs to make arrangements for return.
