Bhubaneswar: Like the first phase polling, the voting in the second phase, which started this morning, has been delayed at some booths due to technical glitches marked in the EVMs.
Voters have turned to 9,117 polling stations to cast ballots to select five MPs and 35 MLAs of their choice.
While polling started at 7:00 am, it has been reported that voters have become unhappy at some booths due to non functioning of EVMs.
According to reports three an MP EVM at Sundargarh, two EVMs at Bargarh, two EVMs at Dassapala in Nayagarh district, one EVM in Jharsguda, two EVMs at Sanakhemundi under Aska LS segment and two EVMs in Rourkela under Sundargarh LS seat have been found defunct.
At all these polling stations, voters have been standing in queues since 7 am. Voting would start once new EVMs are brought and put to use, said reports.
