Two home guards among Covid-19 infected in Odisha

Berhampur, May 27: Two home guards of Polasara police station in Ganjam district has been tested positive for Covid-19, officials said today. Officials said that both of them were engaged in duty at Jagannathpur railway station and Temporary Medical Centre (TMC). “Both of them are undergoing treatment in Parala Maharaja COVID Hospital and TATA COVID Hospital,” said the official. Earlier on May 18, a constable of commissionerate police in Bhubaneswar had also been tested positive for the novel coronavirus, making him the first such case in the state police. The 36-year-old man, who belonged to the reserve police line in Bhubaneswar was discharged on Monday.
