Trump may visit India next month and sign long -pending bilateral trade agreement with Modi

New Delhi, Jan 15: US president Donald Trump may visit India next month. He is likely to sign the long-pending bilateral trade agreement and a pact relating to the civil aviation with India during his visit.

Last year, Trump was invited to the Republic Day function of India. But he could not make it because of preoccupations. However, the two countries are now busy in drawing up the visit schedule of Trump.

The US president’s India visit comes after the Howdy Modi programme held in USA in September last year.

Trump’s proposed visit is going to take place when India is witnessing the slowest growth rate after 2009. Besides, protest demonstrations are being staged across the country over the Citizens Amendment Act (CAA).

The US president’s visit is taking place when the relation between UAS and India has been on flash point following the death of Iran’s Major General Qassem Soleimani.

Trump’s visit to India may be helpful in his victory in the coming Presidential election due to support of non resident Indians, believe the international political observers,
