Bhubaneswar: People in parts of Ganjam and Gajpati district have remained indoors as 102 KMPH surface wind is blowing by the impact of the very severe cyclone ‘Titli’ now. The wind blow would persist for next eight hours, according to reports.
Several trees in Gopalpur and Chandragiri areas have been uprooted and, thus, communication has been blocked on roads between Gopalpurand Brahmapur and Brahmapur and Chandragir. Similarly, power supply has been disrupted in Gajapati district as electric polls uprooted at many places.
The impact of the cyclone has remained severe at Gopalpur as asbestos roofs and thatched houses have been blown away by the strong wind.
Rains have lashed the two districts and other coastal districts due to the cyclone, according to reports.
