Traffic regulation for Republic Day parade in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: Police have made elaborate security arraignments for state level Republic Day parade at Mahatma Gandhi Marg and have imposed traffic regulations for the parade tomorrow morning. As per a notification by the police no heavy vehicles would be allowed to come towards Master Canteen Square either from Ram Mandir crossing or from Raj Mahal Square during the parade. However no such restrictions would be imposed for two wheelers and other light vehicles. However there is completely ban on entry of vehicles on Mahatma Gandhi Marg during Republic Day parade. Similarly, vehicles approaching towards Rabindra Mandap Square from Acharya Vihar would be diverted to the left, near Keshari Talkies while the vehicles coming to PMG Square from AG Square would be diverted near Jaydev Bhavan towards IG Park. The police have also identified as many as seven parking lots for vehicles in and around Mahatma Gandhi Marg during the parade. These parking lots are located near BDA Bus Stand near Railway Station, open space in front of Congress Bhawan, open space in front of Idcol Auditorium, open space in front of Jaydev Bhawan, open space in front of SBI(Unit-III), open space inside Rabindra Mandap (through back side gate) and Unit-II Girls High School ground.
