Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Union Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Pratap Chandra Sarangi met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Lok Seva Bhawan here today.
After meeting the CM, Sarangi said, “It was a courtesy meeting with Naveen Patnaik.”
He further said that a tool room training centre would be established in Rourkela at cost of Rs 200 crore to be borne by the Central Government and the State Government would provide land for the project.
“Four extension centres will be set up in Berhampur, Keonjhar, Kalahandi and Balasore at Rs 20 crore each and of which proposals for two have been sent and third is in process. But the proposal for Balasore has not been sent even if the land has been identified,” said the Minister.
Besides, 226 clusters of MSME have been approved in country and 45 would in Odisha.
“Brackish water aquaculture projects will be taken up in around 6,700 acres of unused land in coastal districts which will immensely benefit small-scale farmers,” he further said.
