Three including two women arrested for trying to smuggle ganja in Rajdhani Express

Bhubaneswar, Nov 4: Government Railway Police (GRP) today seized ganja weighing 41 kilograms from Bhubaneswar railway station and arrested three persons in this connection. The accused have been identified as Sanjay Bain (22), Basanti Das (40) and Unati Mandal (33), all residents of Noida in Delhi. Police said that the trio was trying to smuggle the ganja to Delhi through Rajdhani Express. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused procured the ganja from Jeypore in Koraput and later reached Bhubaneswar by bus. The accused have been arrested and will be forwarded to the court on Thursday. Investigation is on to trace out the involvement of others in this case as well as source of procurement and point of disposal,” said an official.
