Bhubaneswar/Jajpur, 1/11: There has been no let up in the brewing storm over the death of Haridaspur Panchayat Extension Officer Smita Rani Biswal . The opposition BJP and Congress have continued their protest over the issue on one hand, while the family members on the other hand said they would quit the village due to the fear of looming threat to their life. “ I am not feeling safe after my daughter’s death. I have decided to quit the village instead of staying in fear every moment”, said Sadananda Biswal, deceased Smita’s father. A BJP delegation led by Leader of Opposition Pradipta Nayak today visited Haridaspur area to collect more facts on the incident. “ It is more serious than the Chhabirani rape and murder case of eighties and the real truth behind this incident should be unearthed”, demanded visiting BJP leaders stating that they would raise the issue on the floor of the state assembly during its coming winter session. Similarly, the activists of Congress, who had earlier demanded a CBI inquiry, today staged a demonstration in front of the office of State Commission of Women.
