Bhubaneswar: Tata Groups Chairman N Chandrasekharn today announced further investment of Rs 25,000 crore in the State. With this, Tata Groups investments will touch Rs 1 lakh crore in State.
“We have already made investments worth Rs 75,000 crore and with the announcement of expansion of Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar plant, another Rs 25,000 crore would be invested,” said Chandrasekharan at the Make in Odisha conclave.
“With this, total investments will soon cross Rs 100,000 crore in the State,” he said.
He also said that TCS is the largest IT company in the State with about 5,000 professionals and the second phase would take it to a total of 12,000 professionals.
Nearly 800 investors from India and abroad have attended the Make in Odisha summit, a biennial investors’ conclave.
On Sunday Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the summit and welcomed the delegates to discover the enormous business and growth opportunities in Odisha and to join the transformation process for a ‘New Odisha’.
