Syllabus preparation for Spoken English underway: Samir Dash

Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: The preparation of syllabus for Spoken English, which would be introduced from Class-I in Government schools is underway by the Directorate of Teacher Education (TE) and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash in the Assembly today.

In a reply question of Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Kumar Mallick, the minister said that the Government had directed the Directorate of TE and SCERT to implement Spoken English in Government school from Class-I and for which permission of the Syllabus Core-Committee is needed.

For which, a meeting was held of members of the Syllabus Core-Committee on February 5, 2020, Dash added.
