Bhubaneswar: Normal life has been disrupted in Sundargarh town as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has resorted to a six-hour bandh in protest against suspension of Chief District Medical Officer(CDMO)-in-Charge Pankaj Patel for lapses in implementation of Mo Sarkar in the District Headquarters Hospital.
The saffron party has also opposed issuance of show-cause notice served to district Collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan for negligence in ensuring execution of Mo Sarkar in the DHH.
Due to the bandh, shops and markets have remained closed. Government and private offices have been closed. Vehicular movement has been disrupted. However, essential services have been excluded from the road. Common people have suffered a lot to move to their places of destination due to the bandh.
Saffron party activists have sat on the road at different places. The bandh, which began at 6 am, will continue till 12 pm.
Adequate police personnel have been deployed to ensure that no untoward incident occurs during the bandh.
