Bhubaneswar: A delegation led by Ayushman Bharat CEO Indu Bhusan today met Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on implementation of Ayushman Bharat yojana in the State.
“Today, we held a preliminary discussion about the Ayushman Bharat scheme and Odisha Government’s Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY),” said Chief Secretary Padhi.
Padhi said it will take two-three rounds of more discussion to reach conclusion.
On the other hand, Ayushman Bharat CEO hailed the BSKY and said modalities are being chalked out to merge the Ayushman Bharat with BSKY in the State.
On August 15 last year, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, a health for all scheme. The scheme provides health assurance coverage to 70 lakh families, covering more than 70% of the State’s population.
Under the scheme, coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh will be provided per year per family. The amount is Rs 7 lakh per family with women members.
However, the State did not implement the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat.
