Bhubaneswar, May 19: As per new guidelines of the Centre, the state government has allowed opening of Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar to athletes for training. The sports department has urged the athletes to follow social distancing while interacting with fellow athletes, trainers and staff. Wearing of masks and personal hygiene has also been focused. “Kalinga Stadium to be open to athletes for training and all are requested to adhere to the Covid-19 preventive guidelines,” said sports minister Tusharkanti Behera. If they show symptoms of the flu, we urge them to refrain from visiting and training at the Stadium. We are looking forward to reinvigorating the sports ecosystem in the weeks to come, the Minister added.
