Six police personnel of Capital PS in Bhubaneswar test positive for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, July 30: As many as six police personnel including one SI working at Capital police station have been tested positive for Covid-19, officials said today. Earlier on July 25 one woman constable of the police station was also tested positive for the deadly virus.   The incident has emerged as a major concern for other police personnel posted at the police station. “The infected persons have been coming to the police station regularly as they did not have any symptoms. The police station will be sanitised completely and swab samples of others will also be sent for testing,” said a police official.    Odisha Police has earlier issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) after a number of police personnel got infected by the deadly virus in different districts, mostly in Ganjam and Berhampur. Besides several police stations in the state were also temporality closed after cops were tested positive for Covid-19.
