Bhubaneswar: The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has served show-cause notice to Air Odisha, a private airline, for discontinuing their operations quoting technical reasons from the Veer Surendra Sai Airport at Jharsuguda, sources said.
Air Oidsha has been selected for operation under the Centre’s Regional Connectivity Scheme-Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) programme.
However, the private operator has stopped its operation since September.

The Jharsuguda Airport has been developed by the Airports Authority of India in collaboration with Odisha government at an estimated cost of Rs 210 crore, with Rs 75 crore contribution from the state. The airport has been developed under the Centre’s UDAN scheme.
