Bhubaneswar: Sweltering heatwave conditions continued to prevail in several parts of the State today as Talcher recorded the State’s maximum temperature at 43.1 degree Celsius. The day temperature also whizzed past 42 degree Celsius in three other places in the State.
Nine districts recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius. While Talcher was hottest at 43.1 degree Celsius Titlagarh recorded 43 degree C followed by Angul 42.7, Bhawanipatna 42.5, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack record maximum temperature of 39.5 and 38.6 degree C, respectively.
The Special Relief Commissioner has issued several advisories asking people to take precautionary measures while going out in sun and to avoid sun strokes.
