Cuttack: Justice Arijit Pasayat, vice-chairman of the Special Investigation Team on black money, said on Tuesday that the seventh report on black money would be submitted to the Supreme Court within two months.
Justice Pasayat, who chaired a meeting at his residence in Cuttack, said that around around Rs 3,800 crore has been seized during the recent elections in the country.
After the meeting, Justice Pasayat told media persons that use of black money was rampant during the general elections. He laid emphasis on changes in law to curb the offences.
Batting for prosecution and jail for offenders, he said that it will serve as effective deterrent to curb this menace.
Senior officers of several investigating agencies including Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Excise and Odisha Police, Crime Branch attended the meeting.
