Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader Rabi Narayan Pani, an aspirant for Pallahara Assembly segment, today resigned from the primary membership of the party today expressing displeasure over the functioning and state of affairs in BJD.
BJD has fielded Mukesh Pal from the seat this time.
“I am deeply aggrieved at the falling values and declining ethics in the present day politics of the State which has compelled me to stay away from the present situation,” Pani said is his resignation letter.
Pani was BJD’s observer for Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts. Odisha goes to polls in four phases on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.
