Second edition of Tata Steel BSL Run-a-thon in February

Dhenkanal, Jan 16: Tata Steel BSL, (formerly known as Bhushan Steel) will organize the second edition of Tata Steel BSL Run-a-thon -2020 on February 2 in association with the Dhenkanal district administration. The details of the Tata Steel BSL Run-a-thon-2020 were announced during the launch ceremony on Wednesday. A 10 km running competition for men and women over 16 years age group and a 5 km running competition for boys and girls between the age of 12 and 16 years will be held. The official T-Shirt for the event was unveiled yesterday by Dhenkanal district collector Bhumesh Chandra Behera and Tata Steel BSL chief operating officer Subodh Pandey along with other guests. The highest prize money will be Rs 41 thousand to each of the winners in the Men and Women category of 10km run. Venue will be the main gate of Tata Steel BSL Plant at Narendrapur, Dhenkanal. Last date of registration through the official website http://tatasteelbsl-run.com/ is January 25, 2020. However, there will be a maximum of 3500 registrations and enrollment will be done on a first come first serve basis. Those who want to do registration off-line, can visit Tata Steel plant gate at Narendrapur, Dhenkanal. The registration fees for 10km run is Rs 150, and for 5 km Run is Rs 50. All participants will be given participation T Shirts, BIB Chip and Number as well as refreshments. State-of-the-art technology consisting of Timing Mats and its control units, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips, split timing mats on route, tracking camera, wi-fi network on route as per international standard will be used to follow the world-class standards at the Tata Steel BSL Run-a-thon. For this a Mumbai based professional agency has been roped in.
