Second coronavirus infected in Odisha came in contact with 46 persons, Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar, March 20: The second patient tested positive for coronavirus in Odisha came in contact with as many as 46 persons, out of which the State government has managed to trace 43 persons, informed Subroto Bagchi, spokesperson of Odisha government on COVID-19. Bagchi also said that as many as eight monitoring teams have been pressed into service trace three others who came in contact with the patient. The 19-year-old who was tested positive for the deadly virus returned from London two days ago. He also said that 66 samples from the state have been sent so far; out of which 62 results have been received while results of four samples are still awaited. Bagchi said that the person had travelled from the United Kingdom and arrived in Odisha on March 18. “The patient is under treatment. The health condition of the first coronavirus infected person in the state is currently stable,” he added.
