Sambalpur: Two booked for revealing home quarantine person’s identity

Sambalpur, March 25: As many as eight persons have been booked by Dhanupalli police in the district for violating the lockdown norms and revealing identities of home quarantine persons on WhatsApp today.

As per reports, Dhanupalli police today booked three persons,w ho were roaming on motorcycle during the lockdown period.

“After due inquiry by empowered authority, was ascertained that they are clearly violating instruction of Govt. and administration on lock down,” a police statement said.

Based on report by empowered authority, all the three persons have been booked by Dhanupali Police U/S 188/34 IPC/ with various provisions of MV Act for violating provisions of lockdown as well as MV rules.

Similarly, two persons have been booked for revealing the identity–name and address of home quarantine persons on WhatsApp. A case s have been registered at Dhanupalli police station under 188/34 IPC r/w Sec 3 Epidemic disease Act 1897.

On the other hand three persons were booked for preparing feast behind NSCB College at Putibandha under Dhanupali PS limit.

Acting on tip-off, a raid was conducted at the site and three persons were apprehended out of them.

A case was also registered against them.
