Rs 3.97 lakh looted from woman LAMPS staff

Bhubaneswar: Three armed miscreants looted Rs 3.97 lakh from a woman employee of Kalunga Primary Cooperative and Large Area Multipurpose Societies (LAMPS) under Brahmanitarang police station in Rourkela today.

According to sources, three bike-borne armed miscreants intercepted the victim woman when she was on her way to deposit the cash in another branch on her scooty. When she stopped the vehicle the robbers threatened her at gunpoint and snatched away the bag containing the cash. After committing the crime, the miscreants fled the spot.

Following the incident the victim lodged an FIR with the Brahmanitarang police station.

Meanwhile, Brahmanitarang police started investigation and launched a manhunt to nab all the accused involved in the crime.
