Puri: A whopping Rs 102 crore for 2019-20 fiscal was approved by the Sri Jagannath temple Managing committee after hours of discussion over various issues today.
The budget meeting chaired by managing committee chairperson Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingha Deb. Senior servitors, officials of Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) were present.
As per the budget allocation, Gajapati Maharaj will get Rs 12 lakh per annum as salary. Similarly, salary of servitors and other workers of the temple has been hiked.
It was decided in the budget that Rs 38 crore would be spent for infrastructure development for devotees. The budget also allocated Rs 5 crore for servitors’ welfare fund. Similarly, Rs 6 crore will be spent for Rath Yatra.
In the meeting emphasis has also been given to expenditure of donation fund.
Inclusion of devotees in reforms process of the shrine, smooth darshan of deities by the devotees, smooth distribution of Mahaprasad also featured in the discussion.
