Remark on Muslim women: Odisha Assembly adjourned till 11.30 am

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Assembly was adjourned till 11.30 am as Congress members continued protest against remark on Muslim women via-a-vis Triple Talaq made by BJP Legislature Party Deputy Leader Bishnu Charan Sethi yesterday.

As the House met for the day, Congress members led by Tara Prasad Bahinipati rushed into the Well of the House and shouted slohans. They were heard saying “stop terming women as prostitutes”.

Despite repeated requests by Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro, the Congress members didn’t move back. Unable to run proceedings, Patro adjourned the House at 10.31 am till 11.30 am.
