Bhubaneswar: Senior Odisha Forest Service (OFS) officer and Rayagada Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Debarchan Behera was placed under suspension by the State Government. There were corruption and sexual harassment allegations against him.
Allegation of corruption and irregularities relating to construction and maintenance of Government building, working on Bamboo SSO coupes and purchase of store articles were levelled against him.
He was also facing allegations of sexual harassment to women staff at workplace.
“Debarchan Behera, OFS, DFO, Rayagada Forest Division has been placed under suspension with immediate effect by the State Government taking note of the sensitivity and seriousness of the allegations against him,” reads a Government order.
