This closure is listed as a trading holiday for Ram Navami on the official websites of BSE and NSE. Consequently, investors should be aware that no trading activities will occur at these exchanges.
As per BSE's announcement, several segments including Equity, Equity Derivatives, SLB, Currency Derivatives, and Interest Rate Derivatives are closed for trading today.
However, the Commodity Derivative Segment on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) is closed only for the morning session, with trading resuming in the evening session from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.
Looking ahead, there are no further trading holidays in April 2024 according to the stock market holiday list. The next scheduled closure is on May 1 for Maharashtra Day.
