Jajpur: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Rajnath Singh today hit the campaign trail in Bari Assembly constituency under Jajpur parliamentary constituency today and urged people to give BJP five years to serve Odisha.
“Despite ruling for last 20 years, the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has failed to develop the State. Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been implemented in the country but Naveen Babu is not implementing it here in Odisha. Give BJP five years and we will make Odisha the No.1 State in the country,” said Singh in an election rally.
Singh also promised that everyone in the country will have access to pucca houses and LPG connections by 2020.
Coming down heavily on the Congress, Singh said when the country will be Congress-mukt, (Congress-free) it will become poverty-free, added Singh.
Jajpur is among six Lok Sabha seats in Odisha, which will go to poll on the fourth phase on April 29, the last polling day in Odisha. The other five LS seats are Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsighpur and Balasore. Results will be announced on May 23. Elections will also be held simultaneously in 42 Assembly constituencies on April 29.
