Bhubaneswar: The New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express today caught fire near Tilkanagar between Manoharpur-Jalekela, a few kilometers before reaching Rourkela station. However, no casualty and loss of property was reported in the mishap.
According to sources, coach D-7 of the express train suddenly caught fire near Tilaknagar, a few kilometres away from the Rouekela station. When excessive smoke emanated from the bogie passengers raised an alarm. The railway authorities immediately swung into action and managed to douse the blaze as a result a major mishap was averted.
Sources said the railway authorities have started an inquiry to ascertain the exact cause of the fire.
