Bhubaneswar: As many as 200 houses were reportedly damaged in villagers under the Krushnaprasad block in Puri district due to incessant rains during the last three days.
According to reports, the mud-walled thatched houses were soaked in rainwater occurred during the last three days triggered by a low-pressure in the Bay of Bengal.
Villages remained inundated and rainwater entered houses in low-lying areas in many villages. As a consequence, more than 200 houses crumpled.
As per the Met office, Krushnaprasad witnessed record 249.4 millimetre rainfall during the last three days. Many areas under the block have also still remained marooned.
