Bhubaneswar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address two public rallies at Bhawanipatna and Rourkela on Wednesday.
Around 1.5 lakh people are expected to attend the Sankalp Samavesh at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi while the party has made arrangements to bring people of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj for the rally at Rourkela.
This will be Rahul’s second visit to Odisha in two weeks.
On January 25, he had addressed a mass gathering at Tamando Mini Stadium on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar where he severely attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on different issues, including corruption, development and farmers’ condition.
Rahul’s visit comes close on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s three back-to-back visits to the State in last one month and the two-back-to back visit of party national president Amit Shah in a week ahead of the elections.
