Jeypore: Congress president Rahul Gandhi arrived in Jeypore to hold an interaction with women on the occasion of Women’s Day before addressing the public meeting here.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel along with several State leaderships of the party accompanied Gandhi. The AICC chief landed at Jeypore in a helicopter. Issues relating to farmers, youth, dalits, women and tribals will be in focus of Congress president’s visit to Koraput ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Gandhi will interact with women at the Town Hall at Jeypore and later address a rally at Ekamra Ground.
This will be Gandhi’s third visit to Odisha in last three months. The Congress high command had earlier addressed a rally at Tomando on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on January 24 and visited Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and Rourkela in Sundergarh district on February 6 where he targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
