Public darshan of Lord Jagannath to be closed at 4 pm to 8 pm for “paita lagi” ritual

Puri, 18/11: Public darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be closed for four hours on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm as “ paita lagi” ritual will be performed during this period. {"id":20585,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to Temple sources, this secret ritual will be performed by daitapati sevayats after madhyanha dhup (midday lunch). The Jay Vijay dwar (entrance door of the main temple) will be shut during this secret ritual. The general devotees, therefore, cannot see the Lords during the period between 4 pm and 8 pm, according to the public relation officer of the temple. The public darshan will resume after this ritual, he said.
