Bhubaneswar: Following outrage over leak of Class XII Economics and Class X Mathematics papers, aggrieved students, parents, students’ organisation, and the students wing of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) her e staged a protest outside the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regional office here.
Activists of the Biju Chhatra Janata Dal (BCJD), the students’ wing of the BJD and AIDSO, students and parents jointly gheraoed the CBSE office at Niladri Vihar here demanding resignation of Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar.
The protestors criticised the decision of CBSE to conduct examination of Mathematics paper of Class X and Economics paper of Class XII afresh as the question papers of both the subjects were leaked 30 minutes before the commencement of the examinations recently.
BCJD president Rana Pratap Patra said that the Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar should step down for his utter incompetency putting the future of students in a fix.
The protestors said that re-examination of the papers should be conducted only in New Delhi region of CBSE as the leak was confined to that region only.
