Principal of Govt ITI held for taking bribe

Nuapada, Aug 18: Vigilance sleuths today arrested the principal of Govt ITI in Khariar Road in the district on charges of demanding and accepting bribe. Vigilance sleuths said that the principal Bibhuti Bhusan Sahu has demanded bribe of Rs 30000 from one Bhupendra Mahananda who was working as a PTGI (MMV) to send his name to the committee for renewal of PTGI(Mechanical Mother Vehicle) for one year by Nuapada Collector. “The bribe money was recovered from the possession of the accused. Both hands wash and pant pocket wash of Mallick gave positive chemical reaction. His office chamber and residential house are being searched. In this connection a case has been registered and further investigation is continuing,” said an official.
