Principal injured by college student in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, June 2: An under graduate student of Raja Madhusudan Dev Degree College of Science and Education has attacked the principal for scolding him, said police on Wednesday. The injured principal Prashant Rout has been admitted to a city based private hospital in a critical condition. The principal has filed a complaint at Infocity police station. According to police, the accused student had entered examination hall with a gamcha (napkin). The principal had scolded him following which he had resorted to a quarrel with the principal. He had nurtured a grudge against the principal following the incident and attacked his head with a hammer. We have identified the accused student from CCTV footage and launched a probe into the matter. Efforts are on to nab the accused who is on run, said police.
