Prime accused of Congress leader murder case held

Berhampur: Berhampur Police has arrested Bhagwan Sahu, the prime accused in the Congress leader Manoj Jena murder case.

With the arrest of Sahu, police have so far arrested six persons in this connection.

Manoj Jena, Congress candidate from the Aska assembly seat, was shot at on May 22, on the eve of the counting day, and he died on May 24 while undergoing treatment. He, however, did not win the seat.

Earlier, police arrested five persons.

Based on the FIR lodged by the deceased leader’s family, police registered a case of murder against seven persons.
