Police ready security plan for Naveen’s swearing-in

Bhubaneswar: Elaborate security arrangements have been made at Exhibition Ground here for swearing-in-ceremony of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday.

Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty said that 25 platoons of police force will be deployed in and around the venue to maintain law and order.

The entire ground will be under the CCTV surveillance. Patnaik and other members of the Council of Ministers will take oat at 10.30 am at the Exhibition ground here on Wednesday.

Patnaik will take oath as the CM of the State for a record fifth consecutive time. He has been the CM since 2000. Earlier, the swearing-in was held inside the Raj Bhavan. For the first time, swearing-in event would be organised outside the Raj Bhavan.

Nearly, 5,000 people from different walks of life, including members of the women Self Help Groups (SHGs), a loyal vote bank of Patnaik, would present at his oath-taking ceremony.
