Poachers fall prey to their own wire trap in Odisha

Angul, Jan 28: Two poachers lost their lives on Tuesday to the very traps they had laid to kill wildlife in the district. The deceased have been identified as Maheswar Biswal and Kabindra Gadanayak of Kanja village under Bantala police limits, both were around 30-year-old. The incident took place last night in the village forest. While one died on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries at the district headquarters hospital. They were killed coming in contact with a live wire trap laid for boar poaching. On being informed, police reached the village and launched probe.
