BHUBANESWAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Baripada in Mayurbhanj district at 3 pm today. He is scheduled to lay foundation stone and inaugurate a slew of projects worth Rs 4,500 crore and address a public meeting.
According to information, the Prime Minister will dedicate to public the IOCL’s Balasore-Haladia-Durgapur section of the Paradip-Haladia-Durgapur LPG pipeline, doubling of Chilikidara-Sagadapada and Naranpur-Basantpur rail lines and a Multi Modal Logistic Parkat Balasore.
The PM will flag off the second passenger train to run between Tatanagar-Badampahad. He will lay foundation stone for four-laning of Rimuli-Koida stretch (43.2 km) of NH 215, four-laning of Singad-Bijabahal stretch (104.2 km) of NH 6 and four-laning of Koida-Rajamunda stretch (53.25 km) of NH 215.
Besides, the Prime Minister will unveil renovation project of the Haripurgarh Fort and Rasikaray Temple of Mayurbhanj. He will also open Passport centres at Post Offices in Aska, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Keonjhar districts.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Union Road Transportation and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Union Minister of State for Culture Dr Mahesh Sharma are scheduled to attend the meeting.
