PLACEMENT OFFERS POURING IN FOR ITER GRADUATES

Excellent placement offers have been pouring in for the 2019 graduating batch of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA Deemed to be University here, which has facilitated placement of over 25,000 of its students in various companies of repute across the globe since 2000.

Students of the 2019 graduating batch have got excellent placement opportunities in companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Reliance Industries, BOSCH, Deloitte, IBM, CTS, Infosys, WIPRO, HighRadius, TVS Motors, MuSigma, and Tata Steel.

Parallel to the ongoing process of campus recruitment drive for 2019 graduating batch, career plans for the 2020 graduating batch have already been laid out with the empanelment of companies which would be visiting the institute taking into account the Day-Zero, Day-One and Day-Two slots for these students.

The Cost to Company (CTC) offered in Day-Zero slots was in the range of Rs. 10 to 70 lakh per annum (LPA). As on June 12, Amazon and Kony Labs had already completed their online test processes. The upcoming Day-Zero slot online tests would be conducted by Microsoft, Sigmoid, Rapyuta Robotics and Nutanix during the current month with the bright students viewing career opportunities with a starting package of more than Rs. 10 LPA.

Companies like Reliance Industries (IT) had recruited students for Internship cum Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) for the 2020 graduating batch.

Keeping in view the evolving digital technologies, there has been a huge change in strategies by some of the brands like Infosys, WIPRO, TCS, IBM, CTS and Accenture for the 2020 graduating batch. These companies would be offering the regular CTC to the deserving aspirants and higher packages in the range of Rs. 8 to 12 LPA to those who outperform.

Placements, both for final jobs and Summer Internships, being an integral part of any University’s annual calendar of activities, SOA has a well laid-out systematic process of helping students to realize their career aspirations and corporate expectations. “SOA is dedicated to groom the students to achieve such competence level where students could make themselves saleable and meet the requirements of the industry,” said Dr. Sujit Kumar Dash, SOA’s Head, Training and Placement.

As per the current industry trend, self learning attitude (fundamental concepts), ethics, integrity and discipline were the key factors for aspirants to grab jobs. However, it was of more importance for students to keep them updated with the emerging technologies on a day-to-day basis which would certainly decide their level of sustainability in the industry, Dr. Dash said.
