Petrol, diesel prices hiked again in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 11: Petrol price in Odisha was hiked by Rs 2.78 per litre, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 70.52 a litre from Rs 67.73.

According to the Utkal Petroleum Dealers Association, The fuel prices have surged as the Central as well as the State government have hiked the VAT charges while the prices of crude oil in the international market remains constant.

The general public, however, has opposed the rise in oil prices. Residents of the capital city said it was not right for both the state and central governments to do so while everyone was going through a financial crisis over coronavirus pandemic.
